Role Description The Senior Production Engineer role is a full-time, on-site position based in Raipur. The individual in this role will oversee daily production activities, ensuring transformers are manufactured according to design specifications, quality standards, and delivery timelines. Responsibilities include planning and scheduling production, optimizing workflows, monitoring equipment performance, and coordinating with cross-functional teams such as design, quality, and maintenance. The Senior Production Engineer will implement and maintain quality control procedures, analyze production data to improve efficiency, and support troubleshooting of technical issues on the shop floor. The role also involves guiding and mentoring production staff, promoting safety standards, and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives in manufacturing processes.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess strong Production Engineering and Production Planning skills relevant to transformer or heavy electrical manufacturing.
- Candidates should possess solid Analytical Skills for process optimization, problem-solving, and data-driven decision-making.
- Candidates should possess Quality Control skills, including knowledge of industry standards, inspection methods, and testing procedures.
- Candidates should possess effective Communication skills for collaboration with cross-functional teams and clear reporting to leadership.
- Relevant qualifications such as a bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Production Engineering (or equivalent technical field).
- Experience in transformer manufacturing or similar heavy engineering industry, with exposure to high-capacity equipment and safety practices.
- Demonstrated ability to lead production teams, manage shifts, and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
- Familiarity with ERP or production management software and basic knowledge of lean manufacturing or similar methodologies.
