About the Role
We are looking for an experienced Senior Pre-Sales – Electrical Engineer to support our growing business in the Power & Energy sector. The candidate will be responsible for understanding customer requirements, developing technical solutions, supporting RFQ/RFP responses, and presenting APM and digital asset-monitoring solutions to clients.
The ideal candidate should have strong knowledge of Asset Performance Management, Electrical Transmission & Distribution, OHTL, Smart Grid solutions, Condition Monitoring, and Predictive Analytics.
Key Responsibilities
•Understand customer requirements and translate them into suitable APM (Asset Performance Management) related to electrical assets and digital asset-management solutions.
•Support the preparation of RFQ/RFP responses, technical proposals, bids, and solution documents.
•Identify customer pain points related to asset reliability, maintenance, condition monitoring, and asset performance.
•Keep up to date with developments in Smart Grid, APM, predictive analytics, IoT
•Ensure compliance with client-specific technical and bidding requirements.
•
Conduct technical presentations, product demonstrations, and solution discussions with customers.
•Work closely with Sales, Engineering, Product, and Delivery teams to develop winning technical proposals.
•Develop solution architectures, technical scopes, BOMs, and high-level implementation approaches.
•Support estimation, cost optimization, and commercial discussions during the pre-sales process.
•Participate in customer meetings, workshops, and technical discussions.
•Support proof-of-concepts (POCs), pilot projects, and technical evaluations.
Required Skills & Experience
•5+ years of experience in Pre-Sales, Solution Consulting, Technical Sales, or Engineering.
•Strong experience in Asset Performance Management (APM) solutions.
•Good understanding of Electrical Transmission & Distribution (T&D) systems.
•Experience with Smart Grid / Digital Grid solutions.
•Knowledge of Asset Condition Monitoring and Predictive Analytics.
•Experience with electrical assets such as: Transformers, Transmission lines, Switchgear, Substation equipment
•Strong understanding of asset health, reliability, maintenance, and performance concepts.
•Experience preparing and responding to RFQs, RFPs, tenders, and bids.
•Strong client-facing and presentation skills.
•Good communication, stakeholder management, and negotiation skills.
Good to Have
•Experience working with Power Utilities, Transmission & Distribution companies, or Oil & Gas organizations.
•Experience working with APM platforms such as GE Digital APM, Aviva, IBM Maximo, SAP Asset Management, or similar solutions.
•Knowledge of IoT, AI/ML, predictive maintenance, and digital twin concepts.
•Experience managing POCs and client demonstrations.
•Exposure to international/GCC clients and projects.
