Role Description This full-time, on-site Senior Pre-Sales Engineer role at Ethernexion Networks is based in India and focuses on supporting the sales team throughout the technical sales cycle. The Senior Pre-Sales Engineer will collaborate with account managers to understand customer requirements, design appropriate networking and infrastructure solutions, and deliver compelling product demonstrations and technical presentations. Responsibilities include preparing proposals and responses to RFPs/RFQs, performing solution sizing and architecture design, and leading technical discussions with prospects and partners. The role also involves conducting proof-of-concept (PoC) deployments, providing technical enablement to internal teams, gathering feedback from the field to inform product improvements, and ensuring a smooth handover to post-sales and implementation teams. The Senior Pre-Sales Engineer will maintain up-to-date knowledge of Ethernexion Networks’ portfolio, industry trends, and competitor offerings to position solutions effectively.
Qualifications
- Strong experience in pre-sales or solution engineering for networking, telecom, or IT infrastructure, with the ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
- Solid understanding of network architectures (LAN/WAN, routing, switching, security), cloud and virtualization concepts, and related industry standards.
- Proficiency in preparing technical proposals, solution designs, and documentation, including diagrams, BoMs, and project estimates.
- Ability to deliver clear technical presentations and product demonstrations to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Experience conducting PoCs, pilots, and technical validations, including troubleshooting and performance tuning during evaluations.
- Strong communication, collaboration, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to work closely with sales, product, and delivery teams.
- Capability to manage multiple opportunities and priorities, with strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field; advanced certifications (e.g., CCNP, JNCIP, cloud certifications) are an advantage.
- Prior experience working with enterprise or service provider customers in India or similar markets is preferred.
- Willingness to travel to customer sites and partner locations within India as required.
