Senior Power Electronics Engineer – Product Development & Mass Production

Role Overview
We are looking for a Senior Power Electronics Engineer with strong hands-on experience designing and taking power-electronics products into mass production.
You will own hardware development across the product lifecycle — from power-conversion architecture and circuit design through prototyping, validation, NPI, manufacturing transfer and production ramp-up.
This is not a research-only or simulation-only role. We are specifically looking for an engineer who has seen their hardware become a manufactured product at scale.
Key Responsibilities
* Design and develop high-voltage/high-power power-conversion systems.
* Work on DC-DC converters, DC-AC inverters and associated power stages.
* Develop schematics, select components and define hardware architecture.
* Work with PCB teams on high-current/high-voltage PCB design and layout.
* Build and debug prototypes.
* Lead electrical, thermal, reliability and performance validation.
* Work with manufacturing and EMS partners on DFM/DFA and production readiness.
* Drive NPI activities from engineering prototype through pilot build and production release.
* Resolve manufacturing issues, component issues and field failures.
* Support BOM, ECO/ECN and engineering-change activities.
* Work with sourcing and suppliers on component qualification and alternate parts.
* Collaborate with firmware, controls, mechanical, quality and manufacturing teams.
* Support production ramp-up and continuous product improvement.
Mandatory Requirements
* 8+ years of hands-on experience in power electronics product development.
* Strong experience with high-power/high-voltage converters or inverters.
* Experience with DC-DC and/or DC-AC power conversion.
* Strong understanding of MOSFET/IGBT/SiC/GaN-based power stages.
* Experience with schematic design, PCB development and hardware bring-up.
* Demonstrated experience taking at least 2 power-electronics products from design/prototype through NPI and into mass production.
* Experience working directly with manufacturing/EMS partners.
* Experience with DFM/DFA, production testing and manufacturing issue resolution.
* Strong hardware debugging and validation experience.
Strongly Preferred
* Experience with 400V/800V+ systems.
* EV/automotive, energy storage, inverter, UPS, solar, industrial power or similar products.
* BMS/battery systems.
* SiC/GaN.
* EMI/EMC.
* Thermal management.
* Magnetics.
* MATLAB/Simulink, PLECS, LTspice/PSIM.
* Altium/OrCAD/Cadence.
* Experience with high-volume production.
