We are looking for an experienced Senior Perfumer to lead the creation and development of original fine fragrances for Indian and international markets. The candidate must have strong hands-on expertise in creating fragrances from individual aroma chemicals and natural materials, not only blending ready-made fragrance oils.
Key Responsibilities
- Create original EDP, EDT and fine-fragrance concentrates from scratch.
- Develop men's, women's and unisex fragrances across fresh, woody, amber, musk, floral, gourmand and other olfactive families.
- Design and balance top, heart and base-note architecture.
- Select and evaluate aroma chemicals, essential oils, musks, fixatives and specialty fragrance
- materials.
- Optimize projection, sillage, substantivity, longevity and overall sensory performance.
- Create differentiated fragrances from commercial briefs and benchmark references.
- Optimize formulas for raw-material cost, reproducibility and commercial scalability.
- Conduct blotter, skin, stability and packaging-compatibility evaluations.
- Work with GC/GC-MS analytical data for fragrance characterization and troubleshooting.
- Maintain formulation records, trials, raw-material libraries and fragrance evaluation data.
- Develop formulas with IFRA, allergen and applicable regulatory requirements in mind.
- Support laboratory-to-pilot and commercial production transfer.
Candidate Profile
- Experience: Minimum 5 years of hands-on fine-fragrance creation experience. Experience in a fragrance house, fine-fragrance laboratory or fragrance R&D; organization is preferred.
- Technical exposure: Practical familiarity with materials such as Ambroxan, Iso E Super, Hedione, Dihydromyrcenol, musks, ionones, woody-amber materials, citrus materials, essential oils and fixatives.
- Education: Chemistry, Cosmetic Science, Fragrance/Perfumery or related qualification. Formal perfumery training is preferred.
