Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Senior Merchandiser role based in Tiruppur. The Senior Merchandiser will oversee the end-to-end merchandising process, including product development, sampling, pricing, order execution, and coordination with buyers and internal teams. The role involves analyzing market trends, preparing seasonal collections, managing critical paths, and ensuring that styles meet quality, cost, and delivery requirements. Day-to-day responsibilities include communication with buyers, follow-up with production, sourcing fabrics and trims, monitoring order status, and resolving issues that arise during manufacturing and shipment. The Senior Merchandiser will also support business growth by identifying new opportunities, maintaining strong customer relationships, and collaborating with management on merchandising strategies.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess strong Communication and Customer Service skills to manage buyer interactions, internal coordination, and relationship building.
- Experience in garment merchandising, export operations, or apparel manufacturing, preferably in knits and woven garments.
- Ability to manage multiple orders, timelines, and stakeholders with attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in MS Office and familiarity with merchandising documentation such as tech packs, cost sheets, and production schedules.
- Relevant academic background in Fashion Merchandising, Textile Engineering, Apparel Management, Business, or a related field is preferred.
- Prior experience in a senior or lead merchandising role and knowledge of international quality standards will be an advantage.
