Job Description
Mechanical Design Engineer (NPD & VAVE) | 7-10 Years
Experience: 7-10 Years
Location: Pune
Qualification: BE/B.Tech Mechanical / Mechatronics
Job Responsibilities:
- Design and develop mechanical products and assemblies for new product development (NPD).
- Create 3D models, assemblies, and manufacturing drawings using SolidWorks.
- Design components such as compressors, tanks, valves, regulators, tubing, manifolds, enclosures, and skids.
- Prepare BOMs, engineering drawings, and support prototype development.
- Perform GD&T, tolerance stack-up analysis, and design calculations.
- Drive VAVE initiatives, cost reduction, product commonization, and DFMA activities.
- Support product redesign, sustenance engineering, and engineering change management (ECR/ECO).
- Work closely with manufacturing, sourcing, testing, and quality teams.
- Participate in design reviews, root cause analysis, validation, and product testing.
Required Skills:
- Strong experience in Mechanical Product Design and New Product Development.
- Hands-on experience with SolidWorks 3D Modeling and Drafting.
- Knowledge of GD&T, Tolerance Stack-up, DFM/DFA, and DFMEA.
- Experience with Pneumatic/Pressure Systems, Compressors, Valves, Regulators, and Tubing.
- Good understanding of BOM Management, PDM/PLM, and Engineering Change Processes.
- Experience in Prototype Development and Product Validation.
- Exposure to VAVE, Cost Optimization, and Value Engineering projects.
