Role Summary:
Responsible for leading New Product Development (NPD) and production engineering activities for CNC/VMC machining operations. The role includes process development, tooling & fixture planning, product trials, and ensuring a smooth transition from the development stage to mass production while meeting quality, cost, and delivery targets.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead new product development from drawing review to production readiness.
- Conduct feasibility analysis and process planning for CNC/VMC machining.
- Develop machining processes, cycle times, and production routing.
- Design and approve tooling, jigs, and fixtures for new components.
- Support PPAP, APQP, and customer approvals.
- Coordinate with production, quality, design, and purchase teams.
- Improve productivity through process optimisation and cycle time reduction.
- Ensure compliance with ISO / IATF quality standards.
