Job Description -
The Sr. Manager is responsible for ensuring adherence to statutory, regulatory, and internal compliance requirements while supporting accounting, payroll, audit, and coordination activities. The role involves monitoring compliance obligations, conducting inventory and documentation reviews, coordinating with auditors and regulatory authorities, and ensuring timely completion of statutory filings and payroll processes.
Key Responsibilities -
1. Internal & statutory compliance - Ensures a company or organisation complies with internal regulations and established control protocol. Completes standard paperwork and questionnaires to confirm internal controls. Ensures statutory compliances are undertaken in a timely basis and ensures company's internal policies are in line with statutory requirements.
2. Inventory audit - Reconciles documentation with actual inventory or assets to ascertain accuracy on a periodical basis.
3. Statutory audits - Participates in meetings with individuals and departments to update audit on findings and the audit process and co ordinates for various statutory audits.
4. Accounting review - Prepares reports and preserves documentation pertaining to accounting, and reviews adherence to accounting standards, income tax, GST and other applicable laws.
5. Regulatory aspects - Assist in obtaining various registrations, keep track of their due dates and renewals.
6. Co-ordination - With bankers, various statutory departments and consultants.
7. Keeps up-to-date on regulations by attending conferences, workshops, and continuing education seminars.
8. Works with a team to achieve company goals.
9. Runs payroll on a monthly basis and adheres TDS obligation.
Qualification -
- Semi-Qualified Chartered Accountant (CA Inter completed) or a candidate who has appeared for the CA Final examination.
- Bachelor's Degree in Commerce, Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
Experience -
- Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in accounting, audit, taxation, compliance, payroll, and statutory matters.
- Experience in handling GST, Income Tax, TDS, statutory audits, internal audits, regulatory compliances, and coordination with auditors, consultants, banks, and government authorities.
- Working knowledge of accounting standards, statutory regulations, and payroll processing.
- Proficiency in ERP/accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
