Job Description:
Job Title: Senior Manager -Category and Innovation
Job Summary:
The Digital Merchandising Manager will oversee 10 people including the Digital Event &
Campaign Merchandising team (4), the Digital Merchandiser team (4) and the Graphic
Design/Copy Writer Team (2). This role is responsible for leading the strategic planning,
execution, and optimization of digital merchandising initiatives across app & web as well
as championing automation & process innovation. The ideal candidate will possess strong
leadership skills, a deep understanding of eCommerce, marketing, and merchandising,
and the ability to drive customer engagement and revenue growth through innovative
digital campaigns and experiences.
Key Responsibilities:
• Lead the offshore Digital Merchandising team (10), providing guidance and support to
ensure the successful execution of their responsibilities.
• Supervise end-to-end merchandising, encompassing strategy development, alignment
with the Digital Merchandising team, execution, briefing, QA preview, and live
maintenance for homepage, curated landing pages (e.g., own brands, specialty diets,
GLP1, FSA/HAS, etc.) and bundles.
• Oversee the planning, timing and execution of digital promotional campaigns, including
communication milestones & deliverables on seasonal launches, major shopping
holidays, and product launches. Ensure the curation of promotional campaign
merchandising content, such as recipes or firework videos, to inspire and delightcustomers.
• Direct the QA processes for digital merchandising experiences and bundles to ensure
delivery of high-quality, error-free, consumer-facing campaigns.
• Oversee digital reporting, including campaign performance and weekly bundle
performance, providing strategic insights to influence the overall direction of the site.
• Champion process innovation by identifying automation opportunities across digital
merchandising workflows to streamline team operations, reduce manual effort, and
enhance overall efficiency across campaign execution, QA, reporting, and content
management processes. Partner with cross-functional teams to evaluate existing
processes, implement scalable solutions, and empower the team to focus on strategic,
high-impact work.
• Develop and implement overarching digital merchandising strategies that align with
business goals and drive customer engagement and revenue growth.
• Analyze site data and consumer insights to identify opportunities for holistic
improvement and optimization of digital merchandising and content strategies.
• Act as a business partner to Own Brands & Marketing teams in supporting strategies
and initiatives designed to enhance overall web presence, define market position,
maximize loyalty programs, and leverage digital solutions.
• Manage creative reviews with the internal team to ensure all outputs are consistent
with brand guidelines, align to business priorities, and effectively communicate our
brand message and translate them into creative solutions.
• Approve sourced & selected digital assets to enhance our digital presence, align to
merchandising & business priorities, as well as resonate with our customers.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in marketing, Business, eCommerce, or related field.
• 9 – 12 yrs of total experience, 5-7 relevant years' experience in Digital Merchandising
• Proven experience in digital merchandising,/ eCommerce, and marketing.
• Strong leadership and team management skills.
• Lead a team in the past. – 3+ yrs in managing/ developing ppl/ ideally setting up teams
from scratch.
• Excellent analytical and strategic thinking abilities.
• Proficiency in digital tools and platforms such as Figma, Sprinklr, Monday.com,
DMCP/GRS, and ESCP.
• Exceptional communication and collaboration skills.
