Job Description
About the Role
We are looking for a hands-on
Senior Manager – Brand, CRM & Growth to join our marketing team and own key areas across brand, CRM, customer engagement and marketing execution.
You will work closely with marketing leadership to translate ideas and positioning into a distinctive brand experience - across campaigns, content, schools, events, landing pages, CRM journeys and every customer touchpoint. This role sits at the intersection of brand, CRM, AI and growth. We are looking for someone with strong creative judgment and exceptional communication skills who is equally comfortable developing a campaign brief, working with schools, rewriting a landing page, building a HubSpot journey, analysing customer engagement or experimenting with AI to improve how the team works.
What You'll Own
Brand, Communication & School Engagement
- Translate the overall brand strategy and positioning into campaigns, content and customer experiences.
- Help develop campaign ideas, messaging frameworks and propositions for students, parents, schools and counsellors.
- Own brand consistency across landing pages, email, social, events, partnerships and other customer touchpoints.
- Shape the organic social and content strategy, translating the brand into relevant, engaging content for students and parents across key platforms.
- Own the content calendar and work with creators, designers and partners to bring social and content ideas to life.
- Work closely with school/university stakeholders to interpret brand guidelines and ensure campaigns, content and marketing materials meet brand standards and approval requirements.
- Manage the development, coordination and approval of marketing assets with school teams, while building strong working relationships across key stakeholders.
- Write and edit high-quality customer-facing copy.
- Develop briefs for designers, creators, agencies and other partners.
- Have a strong point of view on creative quality and provide thoughtful feedback.
- Help build the brand's tone of voice and communication guidelines.
- Ensure that execution maintains a consistently high creative bar. You do not need to be a designer, but you should have excellent visual and creative judgment.
CRM & Customer Lifecycle
- Own HubSpot as a core marketing and customer-engagement platform.
- Design the customer journey from first enquiry through application, enrolment and beyond.
- Build segmentation, workflows, lead scoring, nurture journeys and lifecycle communication.
- Develop email, WhatsApp and other CRM communication.
- Create personalised journeys based on customer behaviour, profile and stage.
- Work closely with admissions/sales teams to understand where customers drop off and improve those experiences.
- Build reporting around engagement, conversion and lifecycle performance.
- Continuously test messaging, journeys and interventions to improve conversion. We don't want CRM to simply mean sending emails. We want someone who thinks deeply about what the customer should experience next and why.
AI, MarTech, & Automation
AI will be a fundamental part of how this team operates.
- Use AI extensively across research, copy, content, customer insights, analysis and execution.
- Use AI to create and test different messaging and customer journeys quickly.
- Explore how AI can improve personalisation and CRM.
- Build lightweight automations that eliminate repetitive marketing work.
- Experiment with tools such as ChatGPT, Codex and emerging AI platforms.
- Connect HubSpot with other tools and workflows where useful.
- Constantly look for opportunities to use technology and automation rather than adding manual processes. You don't need to be a developer. You should be the kind of person who enjoys figuring out what technology can do.
Execution
- Take an idea from a conversation and turn it into a campaign, journey, event or customer experience.
- Manage multiple projects and experiments simultaneously.
- Coordinate schools, counsellors, designers, creators, agencies, freelancers and internal stakeholders.
- Build processes and documentation as the business grows.
- Operate comfortably in an environment where everything hasn't already been defined.
What We're Looking For
- 5 - 8 years of experience, ideally spanning brand, CRM, lifecycle marketing, content, digital marketing or consumer marketing.
- Excellent written and spoken English.
- Strong copywriting and communication ability.
- Excellent brand and creative judgment.
- Strong stakeholder-management and presentation skills, with the confidence to represent the brand externally.
- Experience working with schools, universities, counsellors, communities or partnerships is an advantage, but not essential.
- Hands-on experience with CRM and marketing automation platforms; HubSpot experience is strongly preferred.
- Experience designing customer journeys, segmentation and lifecycle communication.
- Commercial understanding of funnels, conversion and revenue.
- Strong analytical ability.
- Strong hands-on use of AI tools in day-to-day work, with examples of how you have used AI to create, analyse, automate or solve problems.
- Comfortable with marketing technology, automation and learning new tools.
- High ownership and the ability to execute independently.
Experience in education is not essential. Experience in consumer businesses, startups, D2C, fintech, travel, media or other brand-led businesses can be equally relevant.
You'll Probably Enjoy This Role If...
You care about both the idea and the execution .
You can move from shaping a campaign to speaking with a school or counsellor, improving a customer journey, working in HubSpot or experimenting with an AI tool without seeing those as completely different jobs.
You use AI every day - not because it's fashionable, but because it allows you to research, create, analyse and build faster. And when presented with a new idea, you don't just discuss it. You figure out how to bring it to life.
