About The Role
We’re looking for a Lighting Artist who can bring mood, realism, and storytelling to life through lighting. You’ll work closely with Lookdev, Compositing, and CG teams to deliver high-quality shots while mentoring junior artists and maintaining visual consistency across projects.

Key Responsibilities
- Create high-quality lighting setups for shots and sequences in line with the show’s visual style
- Work closely with Lookdev, FX, Animation, and Compositing teams to ensure seamless integration
- Develop and maintain lighting rigs, templates, and best practices
- Ensure consistency in lighting across sequences and episodes
- Optimize renders for quality and performance
- Troubleshoot technical and artistic lighting challenges
- Mentor and guide junior lighting artists, providing constructive feedback
- Participate in dailies, reviews, and creative discussions with leads and supervisors
- Meet production deadlines while maintaining high artistic standards
Required Skills & Qualifications
- 8+ years of professional experience in Lighting for VFX / Animation projects
- Strong knowledge of Maya and Arnold (or equivalent renderers)
- Solid understanding of light, color theory, composition, and cinematography
- Experience working with HDRIs, light rigs, and physically-based rendering
- Good understanding of render passes, AOVs, and compositing workflows
- Ability to take direction, adapt quickly, and also work independently
- Strong problem-solving and shot-finishing skills
Nice to Have
- Experience with Houdini / Katana / Unreal lighting workflows
- Exposure to episodic, feature film, or high-end commercial pipelines
- Basic scripting knowledge (Python) for pipeline efficiency
- Leadership or mentoring experience
