We're Hiring | Senior Legal Manager
📍 Location: Pune

The Language SKOOL is looking for an experienced and dependable Senior Legal Manager to join our Legal Team and take ownership of the organization's legal and compliance requirements.
We are looking for a legal professional who brings strong experience along with maturity, sound professional judgment, reliability, and the ability to independently handle legal matters and make informed decisions.
🔹 Key Responsibilities
Manage the organization's day-to-day legal and compliance requirements.
Draft, review, negotiate, and finalize agreements, contracts, MOUs, vendor agreements, partnership agreements, and other legal documents.
Provide legal guidance to management and internal teams on business and operational matters.
Identify legal and contractual risks and recommend appropriate mitigation measures.
Handle legal notices, disputes, claims, and related matters in coordination with external legal counsel, where required.
Review and strengthen organizational policies, processes, and agreements from a legal perspective.
Support matters relating to employment law, commercial contracts, confidentiality, intellectual property, data protection, and other applicable legal areas.
Ensure proper maintenance and documentation of legal records and agreements.
Monitor applicable legal and regulatory developments and advise the organization accordingly.
Work closely with HR, Finance, Operations, Business Development, and Leadership teams.
Take ownership of legal matters from initiation through closure.
🔹 What We're Looking For
8–10+ years of relevant legal experience.
15–17 years of overall professional experience preferred.
LLB degree from a recognized institution.
Experience in the Education / EdTech sector is preferred, but strong candidates from other sectors may also be considered.
Strong knowledge of contract drafting, review, negotiation, compliance, and legal risk management.
Demonstrated ability to work independently and take ownership of legal matters.
Strong professional judgment and decision-making ability.
High level of integrity, reliability, and confidentiality.
Candidates with a consistent employment history and reasonable tenure with previous organizations will be preferred.
Looking for someone interested in a stable, long-term association with the organization.
Strong communication, negotiation, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
Must be based in Pune and comfortable with a hybrid working model.
