Role & Responsibility:
We are looking for a Senior IT Manager on behalf of one of our clients: a venture-backed deep-tech company in Bengaluru building AI compute infrastructure.
About the client -
- Founded by semiconductor and AI leaders — 15+ years each in the industry, 30+ chips shipped between them
- Backed by a leading deep-tech investors, now scaling engineering and early enterprise deployments
- Building a full-stack, inference-first compute platform — custom silicon and software designed together
- A small, senior team where your work is visible from day one and you set the standard rather than inherit it
Skills:
- 8+ years in IT and infrastructure, including time leading the function
- Hands-on experience taking an organisation through ISO 27001 and/or SOC 2, not just maintaining someone else's programme
- Real depth in the Microsoft stack
- Discretion and integrity. This role holds the keys to everything, and trust matters more here than any single certification
- Comfortable being the IT function rather than managing a large team
Responsibilities:
- ISO 27001 — take the company through certification and keep it audit-ready
- SOC 2 — readiness, control design, evidence collection, audit support
- VAPT — plan and run penetration testing cycles, track findings to closure
- Microsoft infrastructure — Entra ID, Microsoft 365, Intune, Windows Server, endpoint hardening
- Identity and secrets — credential and password management, privileged access, joiner-mover-leaver process
- Day-to-day IT for a growing team — devices, access, vendors, licensing, support
