Role Description
- Lead interior design projects from initial brief and concept development to final handover.
- Understand client requirements and translate them into functional, aesthetic, and practical design solutions.
- Develop concepts, mood boards, material palettes, space plans, and design presentations.
- Prepare detailed working drawings, layouts, elevations, sections, furniture plans, and GFC drawings.
- Develop and coordinate 3D models, renders, and visualisations for presentations and execution.
- Select and specify materials, finishes, furniture, lighting, fixtures, and FF&E based on design intent and project requirements.
- Coordinate closely with clients, architects, consultants, contractors, vendors, and suppliers.
- Conduct regular site visits and monitor execution to ensure drawings, detailing, materials, and design intent are accurately implemented.
- Review shop drawings, samples, mock-ups, and fabrication details and provide design inputs/approvals.
- Identify and resolve design, technical, and site-related challenges in coordination with the project team.
- Manage project deliverables, timelines, revisions, and documentation across multiple projects.
- Maintain high standards of design quality, detailing, functionality, and finish throughout the project.
- Mentor and guide junior designers and support the team in design development and execution.
- Contribute to improving NH Studio's design processes, detailing standards, and overall creative direction.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of professional experience in Interior Design or Architecture.
- Degree or diploma in Interior Design, Architecture, or a related field.
- Strong understanding of space planning, technical drawings, materials, finishes, and site execution.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, SketchUp, Revit/3D software, and Adobe Suite.
- Experience handling projects independently and coordinating with clients, consultants, contractors, and vendors.
- Strong communication, coordination, problem-solving, and attention-to-detail skills.
- Experience in residential, hospitality, or commercial projects preferred.
