Role Description The Senior Interior Designer will be responsible for leading end-to-end interior design projects, from concept development to final execution, for residential spaces. This full-time, on-site role, based in the Greater Kolkata Area, includes creating design concepts, developing detailed layouts, and preparing construction drawings and documentation. Day-to-day tasks involve space planning, selecting FF&E (furniture, fixtures, and equipment), coordinating with contractors and ensuring design solutions meet client needs, budget, and timelines. The Senior Interior Designer will oversee project quality, conduct site visits, manage design revisions, and present design proposals and materials to clients and internal stakeholders.
Qualifications
- Expertise in Interior Design and Architecture, with the ability to translate client requirements into functional and aesthetic design concepts.
- Strong Space Planning skills to optimize layouts for commercial, educational, and residential environments.
- Proficiency in Construction Drawings, including detailed plans, sections, and elevations for implementation and coordination.
- Experience with FF&E selection and specification, ensuring cohesive materials, finishes, and furnishings aligned with design intent and budget.
- Advanced skills in design and visualization software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, Enscape, V-Ray, 3D modeling tools, Adobe Creative Suite).
- Proven experience managing interior design projects from concept to completion, ideally 6+ years in a similar or senior role.
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Interior Design, Architecture, or a related field.
- Strong communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams.
- Attention to detail, strong problem-solving abilities, and a track record of delivering projects on time and within budget.
- Knowledge of local building codes, materials, and construction practices in the Greater Kolkata Area is an advantage.
