Kokan NGO India is looking for a proactive and experienced HR Generalist to manage and support day-to-day HR operations, employee lifecycle processes, employee relations, HR administration, and organizational people practices. The role will be primarily focused on HR Generalist and Operations responsibilities with involvement in recruitment and talent acquisition
Key Responsibilities:
- HR Operations & Employee Lifecycle Manage day-to-day HR operations, employee documentation, onboarding, confirmation, transfers, promotions, and exits.
- Employee Relations & Grievance Management Handle employee queries, concerns, grievances, and maintain positive employee relations.
- Attendance, Leave & Payroll Coordination Monitor attendance and leave, resolve queries, and coordinate accurate payroll inputs.
- HR Documentation & Records Maintain accurate and confidential employee records, HR documents, letters, and trackers.
- HR Policies & Compliance Implement HR policies, processes, organizational guidelines, and support statutory compliance.
- Employee Engagement & Retention Coordinate engagement activities, employee feedback, and retention initiatives.
- Performance Management Support appraisals, probation confirmations, goal-setting, and performance review processes.
- Onboarding & Induction Manage joining documentation, induction, policy briefing, and onboarding coordination.
- HR MIS & Reporting Maintain HR trackers and prepare reports on headcount, attendance, leave, attrition, and employee movements.
- Management & Department Coordination Coordinate HR-related matters with management, department heads, and employees.
- HR Process Improvement Identify process gaps and support improvements in HR systems and operations.
- Recruitment & Talent Acquisition Support sourcing, screening, interview coordination, offers, and joining follow-ups.
- Candidate Sourcing & Pipeline Source candidates through job portals, LinkedIn, referrals, databases, and agencies.
- Recruitment Coordination & MIS Coordinate interviews, feedback, candidate communication, and maintain recruitment reports.
Qualification:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 3–5 years of experience in HR Generalist, HR Operations, or a similar role.
- Strong hands-on experience in HR operations and employee lifecycle management.
- Good knowledge of attendance, leave management, payroll coordination, employee documentation, and HR processes.
- Experience in employee relations, grievance handling, employee engagement, and HR coordination.
- Good understanding of HR policies, processes, and statutory compliance.
- Hands-on experience with HR MIS, trackers, MS Office, and Google Sheets.
- Basic to good experience in recruitment and talent acquisition, with the ability to independently support hiring requirements when required.
- Good communication, interpersonal, coordination, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong organizational and time-management abilities with attention to detail.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality of employee and organizational information.
- Ability to manage multiple HR responsibilities and coordinate effectively with management and various departments.
- Ability to work independently and take ownership of HR processes and employee-related matter
