We are looking for an experienced Senior Functional Analyst with strong knowledge of Event-Driven Architecture (EDA), enterprise integration, microservices, and Java-based applications.
The ideal candidate will act as a bridge between business stakeholders, architects, developers, and QA teams, translating business requirements into clear functional specifications and supporting successful implementation and testing.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead requirement-gathering sessions with business and technical stakeholders.
- Analyse business requirements and translate them into functional specifications.
- Define events, workflows, data flows, use cases, and integration requirements.
- Work closely with architects and developers on EDA and microservices solutions.
- Support Java-based applications and microservices, APIs, and system integrations.
- Prepare functional documentation, process flows, data models, and integration documents.
- Lead UAT, including test scenarios, validation, and defect tracking.
- Identify functional issues and coordinate with technical teams for resolution.
- Facilitate communication between business and technical teams throughout the SDLC.
Required Skills
- 5–10 years of experience as a Functional Analyst / Business Analyst.
- Strong experience in EDA, enterprise integration, or microservices.
- Good understanding of Java and Spring Boot.
- Understanding of Kafka / Confluent, event streams, event sourcing, and Pub/Sub models.
- Experience with APIs, integration patterns, data flows, and functional documentation.
- Experience with UAT, test cases, and defect management.
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
Good to Have
- Agile / Scrum / Kanban experience.
- Experience with JIRA, Azure DevOps, Confluence, Visio, or Lucidchart.
- Experience working with large-scale enterprise integration projects.
