We are looking for a Senior Executive / Assistant Manager – Global Payroll & Claims who will be responsible for managing and coordinating end-to-end payroll processing and employee claims & reimbursements across multiple international geographies.
The role will work closely with the Global Head – Payroll and partner with HR, Finance, employees, payroll vendors and other stakeholders to ensure accurate, timely, compliant and seamless payroll delivery.
Key Skills & Competencies
- Strong understanding of end-to-end global payroll processes.
- Experience managing payroll across multiple countries, preferably including the UK, US, Singapore, Malaysia, Taiwan, Philippines and/or Germany.
- Strong knowledge of payroll controls, reconciliations, statutory deductions and compliance.
- Manage the global end-to-end employee claims and reimbursement process.
- Review and validate employee claims against applicable policies and country requirements.
- Ability to manage multiple payroll cycles and strict deadlines.
- Strong Excel/data analysis skills; experience with HRMS/payroll systems and automation tools will be an advantage.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent stakeholder and vendor management skills.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work with sensitive/confidential information.
Governance, Controls & Process Improvement
- Establish and maintain strong payroll controls and audit-ready documentation.
- Support internal and external payroll/statutory audits.
- Identify opportunities for automation, standardization and process improvement across global payroll and claims.
- Develop and maintain SOPs, process documentation, checklists and payroll calendars.
- Prepare and maintain payroll and claims MIS, dashboards and management reports.
- Ensure adherence to defined SLAs, controls and escalation mechanisms.
Stakeholder Management
- Act as a key point of contact for global payroll-related queries and escalations.
- Partner with HRBPs, Finance, HR Operations, employees and external payroll vendors.
- Work closely with the Global Head – Payroll on payroll governance, operational excellence and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Support new country implementations, payroll transitions and process changes as required.
Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Finance, Accounting, Commerce, Business Administration or a related discipline.
- 5+ years of relevant experience in payroll operations, preferably with significant exposure to global/multi-country payroll.
- Experience working with international payroll vendors or global payroll platforms will be preferred.
