What matters most
We want someone who can explain:
How does this pharmacy workflow actually work, why is the system behaving this way, and what should happen instead? You should have experience with some combination of:
- Epic Willow configuration
- Epic application support
- Pharmacy workflow analysis
- Requirements
- Production incidents
- Service requests
- Root-cause analysis
- UAT
- Testing
- Upgrades
- Go-live
- Optimisation

Pure testing experience without meaningful understanding of the underlying pharmacy workflow is unlikely to be sufficient.
What you will do at Script Assist
You will work directly with our Director of Pharmacy and across Pharmacy, Product, Engineering, QA, Operations and customers.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Understanding detailed pharmacy workflows
- Investigating difficult pharmacy-system problems
- Determining whether issues relate to workflow, configuration, data, integration, user process or software defects
- Reviewing pharmacy requirements
- Challenging requirements where there is a better workflow
- Translating pharmacy problems into clear product requirements
- Helping define correct system behaviour
- Identifying edge cases
- Supporting configuration decisions
- Participating in UAT
- Validating fixes and releases
- Investigating live production issues
- Improving pharmacy workflows
- Supporting implementation and optimisation
- Working directly with UK pharmacy stakeholders
- Identifying recurring product and operational problems
- Taking complex issues through to resolution
This is broader than maintaining one Epic module.
You will increasingly understand and influence an entire pharmacy platform.
Pharmacy and clinical background
A B.Pharm, PharmD, pharmacist qualification or other clinical background would be particularly valuable.
However, it is not mandatory if your Epic Willow pharmacy expertise is genuinely deep.
We are especially interested in candidates whose career looks like:
Pharmacy / clinical background β Epic Willow β healthcare technologybut strong non-clinical Willow specialists are also welcome.
Systems and product capability
You do not need to be a software engineer.
You do need to be comfortable reasoning about systems.
For example, if a pharmacy customer reports that a prescription has not reached the correct workflow, we need somebody who can investigate:
- What happened upstream?
- What status is the prescription in?
- What user actions occurred?
- Is the workflow configured correctly?
- Is data missing?
- Is an integration involved?
- Is the user following the correct process?
- Is this a software defect?
- What should Product or Engineering change?
That way of thinking is more important to us than your exact current title.
Customer capability
You will increasingly work directly with UK pharmacy customers.
You do not need to arrive as an experienced Account Manager.
We would rather develop customer ownership in an exceptional pharmacy-system specialist than try to teach deep pharmacy technology to a generic account manager.
However, you should already be able to:
- Explain systems clearly
- Work with pharmacists or clinical stakeholders
- Ask detailed questions
- Challenge assumptions professionally
- Own actions
- Communicate problems clearly
- Work independently
Excellent spoken and written English is important.
What we are looking for
Ideally:
- Approximately 2β6 years relevant experience
- Hands-on Epic Willow experience
- Willow Inpatient and/or Willow Ambulatory expertise
- Real pharmacy workflow knowledge
- Configuration, support or functional ownership
- Production issue / incident experience
- UAT and testing exposure
- Strong analytical problem solving
- Customer or stakeholder exposure
- Increasing ownership and independence
- Strong spoken and written English
- Comfortable working UK business hours from India
Particularly attractive:
- Active or previous Epic Willow certification
- B.Pharm / PharmD / pharmacist background
- Epic Willow Inpatient certification
- Epic Willow Ambulatory certification
- Willow Inventory
- Willow Specialty Pharmacy
- Willow Home Infusion
- Epic Beacon
- Omnicell / Pyxis exposure
- FDB / medication master data experience
- Retail or outpatient pharmacy workflows
Why this is a different next step
If you already know Epic Willow deeply, Script Assist gives you the opportunity to move beyond being the specialist responsible for one application module.
You can progressively influence:
- Pharmacy workflows
- Product design
- Customer requirements
- Dispensing
- Inventory
- Configuration
- Integrations
- UAT and releases
- Production operations
- Product priorities
- Pharmacy customer relationships
You will work directly with Script Assistβs Director of Pharmacy.
For the right person, this can develop into substantial leadership responsibility across our pharmacy technology and operations function.
If you have become genuinely expert in Epic Willow pharmacy workflows and want significantly broader ownership, we would like to hear from you.
