Qualifications & Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering from a recognized institution.
- 5–8 years of relevant experience in electrical design for building, commercial, residential, and infrastructure projects.
- Strong proficiency in AutoCAD, MEP, and electrical design/calculation software.
- In-depth knowledge of electrical load calculations, power distribution, lighting design, earthing, lightning protection, and equipment selection.
- Good understanding of LV/MV electrical systems, single-line diagrams, cable sizing, voltage drop, short-circuit calculations, and protection systems.
- Strong knowledge of applicable IS, IEC, NEC and other national/international electrical codes and standards.
- Experience in coordinating electrical designs with MEP, architectural, structural, and other project teams.
- Professional certifications in electrical design, power systems, or energy efficiency will be an advantage.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and independently execute electrical design activities for building and infrastructure projects.
- Develop electrical layouts, single-line diagrams, schematics, load schedules, and detailed design drawings.
- Perform load calculations, cable sizing, voltage drop, short-circuit, and equipment selection.
- Design and coordinate power distribution, lighting, emergency power, earthing, lightning protection, and other electrical systems.
- Review drawings, calculations, BOQs, specifications, and technical submissions for accuracy and compliance.
- Coordinate with MEP consultants, architects, structural engineers, contractors, and clients to resolve design and coordination issues.
- Conduct design reviews and provide technical guidance to junior engineers and design teams.
- Participate in site inspections, technical meetings, troubleshooting, and resolution of construction-stage design issues.
- Ensure all designs comply with project specifications, applicable codes, safety requirements, and quality standards.
- Manage multiple projects, deliverables, and deadlines while maintaining design quality.

- Strong technical, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent understanding of electrical design principles and building services engineering.
- Experience in MEP coordination and clash resolution.
- Strong communication, coordination, and team-management skills.
- Ability to independently manage design assignments and provide technical leadership.
- Attention to detail with a strong focus on quality and timely delivery.
