Job Description: Senior DevOps Engineer – Github Actions & Jenkins (Immediate Joinee)

Role Overview : We are seeking a Senior DevOps Engineer to serve as a lead in managing, troubleshooting, and modernizing our CI/CD and cloud infrastructure.
In this role, you will be responsible for two core mandates: triaging and resolving day-to-day incidents in legacy Jenkins environments and driving the migration and code review process to modern GitHub Actions workflows. You will work closely alongside our Senior DevOps Lead, taking ownership during production incidents and collaborating across technical teams to integrate container registries and security scanning tools.
Key Responsibilities:
- Incident Triage & Remediations: Actively troubleshoot, diagnose, and remediate pipeline failures and operational incidents—primarily within Jenkins.
- CI/CD Migration & Review: Assist in converting existing Jenkins pipelines to modular GitHub Actions using custom migration tools. Provide architectural recommendations and perform peer reviews on newly created GitHub Actions workflows.
- Security & Quality Tool Integration: Embed and configure automated code analysis and security tools—specifically SonarQube and Checkmarx—directly into CI/CD pipelines.
- Cloud & Registry Management: Manage pipeline integrations with cloud resources, including Azure Container Registry (ACR) and AWS infrastructure.
- Incident Leadership: Drive proactive incident response—taking immediate ownership to investigate, triage, and resolve issues without waiting for step-by-step direction.
- Cross-Functional Communication: Engage directly with development and operations teams, ask critical technical questions, and clarify integration requirements.
Key Qualifications
- Strong Jenkins Expertise: Deep experience maintaining, debugging, and resolving build/deployment incidents within legacy Jenkins environments.

- GitHub Actions Experience: Hands-on expertise writing, optimizing, and reviewing GitHub Actions workflows (prior experience migrating from Jenkins to GitHub Actions is strongly preferred).

- Security Pipeline Integration: Proven experience integrating SonarQube and Checkmarx into CI/CD pipelines.

- Cloud & Container Experience: Familiarity with AWS core services and container registries (e.g., Azure Container Registry / ACR, Docker).

- Proactive Ownership: Demonstrated ability to lead during incident management—actively triaging issues and driving resolution under pressure.

- Strong Communication: Excellent spoken and written communication skills with a natural curiosity to ask probing questions and understand complex pipeline ecosystems.
Working Hours: 5:30pm IST – 2:30am IST
