Role Overview
We are seeking a Senior Data Protection Consultant with a strong, hands-on background in privacy consulting or in-house data protection roles. The ideal candidate will be responsible for helping our clients navigate complex data protection regulations, assess privacy risks, and implement effective privacy programs. This is not an entry-level role, we're looking for someone who already operates independently in this space. This is an on-site role, based out of our Bangalore office / client sites.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct privacy impact assessments (PIAs) and data protection impact assessments (DPIAs) for clients
- Advise clients on compliance with major privacy regulations, including DPDPA, GDPR, and other applicable global frameworks
- Develop and implement privacy policies, procedures, and training programs
- Perform gap analyses to identify and remediate privacy-related vulnerabilities
- Collaborate with cybersecurity and legal teams to integrate privacy-by-design principles into technology and business processes
- Stay up-to-date with new and evolving privacy laws and industry standards
- Serve as a subject matter expert on privacy matters for both internal teams and clients
Qualifications
- 3-5 years of direct, hands-on experience in a privacy-focused role, this is not suitable for freshers
- Strong knowledge of global privacy laws and frameworks (e.g., DPDPA, GDPR, ISO 27701)
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain complex privacy concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
- Relevant certifications (e.g., CIPP/E, CIPT, CIPM) are highly desirable

Shortlisted candidates will be given a 24-hour assignment as part of the evaluation before interviews.
Work Environment
- This is a fully on-site role based in Bangalore, working closely with the team and directly at client locations as needed.
