Role Description We are seeking a highly skilled and innovative Data Architect with deep expertise in Databricks, modern cloud data platforms, and enterprise-scale data architecture. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, and optimizing scalable data and analytics solutions that enable business growth, operational efficiency, and data-driven decision-making.
The Data Architect will work closely with business stakeholders, data engineers, data scientists, and executive leadership to translate business requirements into robust data architectures. This role requires strong experience in Databricks Lakehouse Architecture, cloud technologies (AWS, Azure, and GCP), data engineering, analytics, and AI/ML enablement.
In addition, the Data Architect will provide technical leadership, mentor engineering teams, collaborate with customers, and ensure best practices in data governance, security, performance, and scalability.
Key Responsibilities
Design and implement enterprise-scale data architectures using Databricks Lakehouse Platform.
Develop scalable and secure data solutions that support analytics, reporting, AI, and machine learning initiatives.
Translate business requirements into technical data architecture and solution designs.
Define data models, integration patterns, and architecture standards across the organization.
Lead the design and deployment of Databricks-based data platforms on AWS, Azure, and GCP.
Architect batch, streaming, and real-time data processing solutions using Databricks and Apache Spark.
Optimize data pipelines, storage, performance, and cost efficiency within cloud environments.
Provide architectural guidance and mentorship to data engineers and technical teams.
Collaborate with customers and business stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver effective solutions.
Conduct architecture reviews and recommend continuous improvements.
Evaluate emerging technologies and recommend adoption strategies to enhance data capabilities.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Business, or related fields.
14+ years of progressive experience in data, analytics, machine learning, or technology leadership roles, including experience building and scaling teams.
8+ years of experience in Data Architecture, Data Engineering, or Data Platform Implementation.
5+ years of hands-on experience with Databricks and Apache Spark.
Proven leadership experience in a senior data or technology role.
Strong understanding of data governance, data architecture, and analytics.
Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) and modern data tools.
Knowledge of data privacy and regulatory requirements.
Demonstrated ability to lead large-scale transformation initiatives.
Experience designing large-scale ETL/ELT and real-time streaming solutions.
Knowledge of AI/ML platform architecture and MLOps concepts.
Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and leadership skills.
