Role Description
This is a full-time Data Architect position based in Bengaluru/Chennai with a hybrid work arrangement, allowing for some remote work. The Data Architect will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing efficient data pipelines and infrastructure. Day-to-day tasks may include performing data modeling, managing Extract-Transform-Load (ETL) processes, and architecting scalable data warehousing solutions. Additionally, the role will involve working closely with data analytics teams to enable data-driven decision-making and optimize business operations.
Qualifications
- Expertise in Data Engineering, including designing and developing robust data pipelines.
- Proficiency in Data Modeling and database design to support analytics and reporting needs.
- Experience with Extract, Transform, Load (ETL) processes and tools to ensure efficient data flow.
- Knowledge of Data Warehousing concepts and solutions for scalable data storage and retrieval.
- Strong skills in Data Analytics to derive insights and support decision-making processes.
- Hands-on experience with programming languages such as Python, SQL, or Java.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud is highly desirable.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Proven problem-solving skills and the ability to collaborate effectively within a team.
What We’re Looking For
- 5+ years of experience in data engineering or backend engineering
- Strong experience with SQL and data modeling (dimensional, star schema, etc.)
- Hands-on expertise with Python / Scala
- Experience with modern data platforms:
- Cloud: AWS / Azure / GCP
- Warehouses: Snowflake, BigQuery, Redshift
- Data lakes: S3 / ADLS / GCS
- Experience building pipelines using Spark, Airflow, dbt, Kafka, or similar
- Strong understanding of ETL/ELT, distributed systems, and performance tuning
- Familiarity with CI/CD, infrastructure as code, and production operations
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
Nice to have
- Experience with real-time streaming systems
- Knowledge of data governance, security, and compliance
- Exposure to AI/ML data pipelines or feature stores
- Experience working in high-scale or SaaS environments
