COWI's Heavy Civil team in India is rapidly growing and to support the growth we are looking for a Senior BIM Specialist
Your Key Responsibilities:
•Lead BIM delivery, coordination, and continuous improvement of BIM standards, workflows, and best practices for civil infrastructure projects.
•Act as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) for Autodesk Civil 3D, supporting multidisciplinary project teams and digital engineering initiatives.
•Support BIM Execution Planning (BEP), model coordination, clash detection, information management, and BIM coordination for Construction Logistics projects.
•Develop, manage, and review Civil 3D models for transportation, tunnels, underground infrastructure, earthworks, utilities, and construction staging, ensuring QA/QC compliance.
•Deliver geotechnical and ground engineering models, including borehole interpretation, geological profiling, subsurface modelling, and geotechnical data integration.
•Manage data interoperability, Common Data Environments (CDEs), GIS integration, Open BIM deliverables, and information exchange across multiple digital platforms.
•Mentor and support BIM professionals while contributing to project delivery strategies, bids, standards, training materials, and technical guidance.
In Addition to That You Will Have:
•A bachelors degree or B.E / B.Tech in Civil Engineering
•10-15 years of overall experience with domain specific experience of at least 8 years in Infrastructure projects
•Advanced expertise in Civil 3D modelling, corridor design, Subassembly Composer, earthworks analysis, and quantity estimation – Autodesk Certified professional in Civil 3D is advantageous
•Strong knowledge of ISO 19650, BIM standards, information management, and digital delivery best practices – Certification is advantageous
•Experience integrating Civil 3D with Navisworks, Revit, ACC, Bentley platforms, GIS systems, and Open BIM workflows.
•Proficiency in geotechnical modelling, ground data management, and infrastructure constructability and vehicle tracking analysis.
•Capability to develop automation solutions using Dynamo, AutoLISP, Rhino.Inside Civil 3D, and other digital engineering tools to enhance efficiency and innovation.
