Role Description
zHeight is looking for a Senior Architect to join its growing team in Hyderabad. This is a full-time, on-site leadership role for architects who are passionate about residential design, technical excellence, and building the future of AI-assisted architecture.
The ideal candidate will lead residential design and permitting projects for the U.S. market, mentor junior architects, establish design quality standards, and work closely with engineering and AI teams to improve design workflows. This role requires someone who enjoys solving complex design challenges while delivering permit-ready documentation with speed and accuracy.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead architectural design and production for residential additions, ADUs, remodels, and new homes in the U.S.
- Review and approve permit-ready drawing sets to ensure compliance with U.S. building codes and jurisdiction requirements.
- Mentor and manage junior architects, providing technical guidance and quality reviews.
- Coordinate with project managers to ensure projects are delivered on schedule and within quality standards.
- Work alongside software and AI teams to improve architectural workflows and automation tools.
- Develop and maintain design standards, templates, and best practices.
- Resolve technical design challenges and support permitting submissions across multiple jurisdictions.
- Drive continuous improvement in productivity, documentation quality, and customer experience.
QualificationsEducation (Preferred)
Candidates should have graduated from one of the following premier architecture institutions:
- National Institute of Technology (NIT)
- CEPT University
- School of Planning and Architecture (SPA)
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Architecture is required.
Experience
- 3–5 years of professional architectural experience.
- Experience in residential architecture is strongly preferred.
- Prior experience leading projects or mentoring junior architects is an advantage.
- Exposure to U.S. residential permitting or international projects is a plus.
Technical Skills
- Strong proficiency in Revit or AutoCAD (mandatory).
- Strong understanding of construction detailing and architectural documentation.
- Ability to interpret and apply building codes and zoning regulations.
- Comfortable working with digital workflows and AI-powered design tools.

- Strong leadership and mentoring abilities.

Compensation
- Annual CTC: ₹7,00,000- ₹8,00,000
