Role Description
We are looking for a Senior Architect to lead projects from concept development through detailed design, construction documentation, and site coordination. The role combines hands-on design with team leadership, client engagement, and responsibility for timely, coordinated project delivery.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead concept development, space planning, and architectural design while maintaining design intent through execution.
* Prepare and review drawings, details, specifications, and presentations for design quality, technical accuracy, and buildability.
* Coordinate architectural and interior design with structural, MEP, landscape, and specialist consultant inputs.
* Manage project deliverables, schedules, and team resources, aligning design decisions with client budgets.
* Guide junior architects through clear briefs, regular reviews, and practical mentoring.
* Lead client presentations and coordination meetings, documenting decisions and tracking actions to closure.
* Conduct site visits, resolve design queries, and review execution against approved drawings and specifications.
* Ensure compliance with applicable building codes, regulations, accessibility requirements, and safety standards.
* Contribute to design research, sustainable design strategies, and improvements in studio processes and digital workflows.
Qualifications and Skills
* Professional degree in Architecture from an accredited institution; Council of Architecture registration preferred.
* Minimum 8 years of relevant experience, with demonstrated responsibility for leading medium to large-scale projects.
* Strong portfolio demonstrating conceptual thinking, design development, technical detailing, and built work.
* Proven ability to manage multiple projects, coordinate consultants, and lead design teams.
* Sound understanding of building codes, construction methodologies, materials, and sustainable design principles.
* Proficiency in AutoCAD, SketchUp, and presentation and visualization tools.
* Experience with Rhino, BIM, parametric design, and digital collaboration platforms is an advantage.
* Strong communication, presentation, problem-solving, and mentoring skills.
* International or multi-city project experience is an advantage.
