Role Description The Senior Accounts Executive is a full-time, on-site role based in Puducherry, responsible for managing end-to-end accounting and financial operations for the organization. This role typically includes maintaining general ledgers, overseeing accounts payable and receivable, preparing and reviewing financial statements, and ensuring accurate bookkeeping in compliance with relevant accounting standards. The Senior Accounts Executive will handle bank reconciliations, monitor cash flow, support budgeting and forecasting, and assist with statutory and tax filings. This position works closely with internal stakeholders to provide financial insights, support audits, and improve accounting processes and controls. The role also involves supervising or mentoring junior accounting staff and coordinating with external auditors, vendors, and other financial partners as needed.
Qualifications
- Strong core accounting skills, including general ledger management, accounts payable/receivable, bank reconciliations, and financial statement preparation.
- Proficiency with accounting software (e.g., Tally, ERP systems, or similar), advanced Microsoft Excel skills, and the ability to work with data and reports.
- Knowledge of relevant taxation, statutory compliance, and regulatory requirements applicable to manufacturing or export-oriented businesses.
- Experience in budgeting, cost analysis, and financial reporting to support decision-making and operational efficiency.
- Excellent attention to detail, analytical thinking, and problem-solving capabilities in a fast-paced environment.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work cross-functionally and guide junior team members.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or a related field; professional certifications (such as CA/CPA/CMA, fully or partly qualified) are an advantage.
- Prior experience in a similar accounts or finance role, preferably within manufacturing, packaging, or a related industry.
