Role Description The Senior Accountant will manage the day-to-day accounting operations, including general ledger entries, accounts payable and receivable, bank reconciliations, and periodic closing activities. This full-time, on-site role is based in Ahmedabad and involves preparing financial statements, supporting budgeting and forecasting, and ensuring compliance with relevant accounting standards and tax regulations. The Senior Accountant will monitor cost structures, assist with internal controls, support audits, and provide financial insights to management for decision-making. The role also includes coordinating with cross-functional teams, maintaining accurate documentation, and contributing to process improvements in the finance function.
Qualifications
- Strong skills in general accounting, financial reporting, and ledger management, with experience handling month-end and year-end closing.
- Proficiency in taxation, statutory compliance, and regulatory requirements relevant to manufacturing and distribution businesses.
- Hands-on experience with accounting software/ERP systems, MS Excel, and financial data analysis.
- Ability to manage accounts payable, accounts receivable, bank reconciliations, and cash flow monitoring.
- Attention to detail, accuracy in documentation, and strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work cross-functionally and mentor junior team members.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or a related field; professional qualifications such as CA/Inter CA or equivalent are an advantage.
- Relevant experience in a senior accounting role, preferably within manufacturing, distribution, or related sectors.
