Role Description The Senior Accountant will manage day-to-day accounting operations, including maintaining books of accounts, preparing financial statements, and ensuring accurate recording of transactions in compliance with applicable standards and regulations. Responsibilities include overseeing statutory compliances, supporting tax planning and filings, performing reconciliations, and assisting in audits and financial reviews for clients. The role involves collaborating with clients to understand their financial needs, providing insights on cash flow, budgeting, and risk management, and supporting corporate finance and investment-related assignments as required. The Senior Accountant is expected to supervise junior team members, review their work, and contribute to process improvements and best practices across the firm. This is a full-time, on-site role based in Gurugram.
Qualifications
- Candidate should have 6-7 years of experience.
- Candidates should possess strong skills in financial accounting, general ledger management, and preparation of balance sheet, profit and loss, and cash flow statements.
- Candidates should possess skills in taxation, including direct and indirect tax compliance, tax planning, and preparation of returns and supporting documentation.
- Candidates should possess skills in audit support, reconciliations (bank, vendor, customer), and internal control review to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- Candidates should possess skills in corporate finance and financial analysis, including budgeting, variance analysis, and basic knowledge of investment and risk management concepts.
- Candidates should possess proficiency with accounting software and MS Excel, along with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Candidates should possess excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain financial information clearly to clients and team members.
- A Chartered Accountant (CA) qualification or equivalent professional certification is strongly preferred; relevant experience as a Senior Accountant or similar role in public practice or corporate finance is required.
- Candidates should possess the ability to work in a structured, deadline-driven environment, demonstrate high ethical standards, and maintain confidentiality of client information.
