Role Description The Senior Accountant will manage end-to-end accounting operations, including general ledger maintenance, journal entries, and monthly, quarterly, and annual closings. This full-time, on-site role is based in Hyderabad and will involve preparing and reviewing financial statements, coordinating zakat/tax and VAT computations, and ensuring compliance with relevant accounting standards and local regulations.
The Senior Accountant will oversee accounts payable and receivable, bank reconciliations, payroll-related accounting, and management reporting for assigned clients. The role includes analyzing financial data, supporting budgeting and forecasting, and recommending process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
The Senior Accountant will also collaborate with internal teams and clients, provide guidance to junior staff, and support audits by preparing documentation and responding to auditor queries.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess strong core accounting skills, including general ledger accounting, financial statement preparation, reconciliations, and month-end and year-end closing.
- Candidates should possess expertise in taxation and compliance, such as zakat/tax, VAT, statutory reporting, and familiarity with regional regulatory requirements (Saudi Arabia/UAE).
- Candidates should possess proficiency in financial analysis and management reporting, including budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, and KPI tracking.
- Candidates should possess strong systems and technology skills, including experience with accounting/ERP software, spreadsheets (Excel), and technology-driven process improvements.
- Relevant qualifications such as a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Commerce; professional certifications (CA, ACCA, CMA, or equivalent) are preferred.
- Several years of progressive accounting experience, ideally in professional services, outsourcing, or multi-client environments, with exposure to Middle East markets is beneficial.
- Strong attention to detail, problem-solving abilities, integrity, and the capacity to work independently while mentoring junior team members are expected.
Technical skills:
- Hands on experience on ERP Software. Experience on Microsoft Business Central will be an added advantage
- Hands on experience on Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and Powerpoint)
- Candidates should possess effective communication, collaboration, and stakeholder management skills to work with clients, auditors, and internal teams.
- Minimum experience of 3 to 5 years
