A Consultant is an individual who participates in implementation/upgrade/support projects and delivers them either remote or Onsite. The Consultant focuses on modern SAP development objects (RAP, CAP, Advanced ABAP), coordinates with remote development teams, and liaises with the Project Manager for project tracking, delivery, and execution.

- Capable of building trust and acting as trusted adviser to the customer
- Able to manage customer expectations and avoid any escalations
- Ability to comprehend and envisage appropriate actions
- Participate in practice initiatives, showing innovation, sharing knowledge and enhancing reusability
- Prepare the Technical Specification, build the code, review the code and finally to prepare the Unit Test Cases and conduct technical research for an optimal solution
- The ABAP consultant is expected to help with queries relating to Reports, interfaces, enhancements, ALE/IDoc, Conversions, forms, Adobe forms, ABAP workflow, Web DynPro etc.
- Work with Functional team to assess operational & quality related issues, identify gaps, and manage closure of gaps, including effective Error Trend Analysis and Problem Management
- Proposal for ABAP redesign for performance improvement / tuning of ABAP objects as appropriate
- Ensure appropriate assessment of SAP OSS notes regarding relevance for ABAP Operations
- Working closely with our SAP Functional Specialists to deliver, maintain, troubleshoot and enhance SAP functionality
Essential Skills
Job
- ABAP developer with good knowledge of WRICEF.
- Hands-on experience developing with the RESTful ABAP Programming Model (RAP) using managed/unmanaged scenarios, behavior definitions, determinations, validations, and actions.
- Hands-on experience building side-by-side extensions with the Cloud Application Programming Model (CAP) using Node.js or Java runtimes on SAP BTP.
- ABAP & OO: Expert-level knowledge of Object-Oriented ABAP, Advanced ABAP expressions, and Data Dictionary objects.
- Deep expertise in Core Data Services (CDS Views), AMDP, access controls (DCL), and custom annotations.
- Expert knowledge in creating and consuming OData Services (V2/V4), RESTful APIs, BAPIs, and IDocs.
- Proficiency using Eclipse ADT and SAP Business Application Studio (BAS) for everyday cloud-ready development.
- Expertise in Data Dictionary.
- Expertise on Workflow, Adobe Forma, Smartforms, OData Services, Enhancements.
- Knowledge on CPI development will be an added advantage.
- Knowledge on SAP UI5 & ODATA services is an added advantage.
- Knowledge on Integrations(E-Invoice, E-way bill etc) is an added advantage.
- Excellent communication skills are essential
- Must be dynamic, flexible and possess perseverance skills
- Excellent coding skills are essential
- Proficiency in customer relationship management is essential
- Must have proficiency in ABAP ticket analysis
