Security Lead — WAAP & API Protection (Akamai)
Location- Malaysia (Kuala Lumpur)

We're looking for a Security Lead to drive a new global product protecting our enterprise environment, with a focus on Web Application and API Protection (WAAP).
This is a hands-on technical and migration role. You'll be the expert who reviews, validates, and challenges our security solution, and who runs the actual rollout across business entities worldwide.
What You'll Do
Bring deep technical expertise in WAAP & API protection, specifically on AkamaiWork across cloud environments (Azure / AWS)Review, validate, and challenge the existing security solutionOwn the onboarding roadmap for each entityReview, validate, and improve security policies across DDoS L7, WAF, Bot, and API protectionRaise and manage service requests or incident tickets with the vendor/providerDocument and report on incidents related to DDoS and the WAAP migration programRun meetings with entities globally to support onboardingAnalyze logs and security dataBuild KPIs and security dashboardsCollaborate closely with Cyber Defense and Architecture teams on security requests and issues

What You Bring
Strong hands-on experience with WAAP solutionsWAF security mechanisms, on-premise and cloudProven experience working with Akamai solutionsComfortable working in a fully English-speaking environment
