Job Description
We are seeking an experienced SDET (Software Development Engineer in Test) with 3+ years of industry experience in software development and test automation. The ideal candidate should have strong expertise in test automation for native applications, with hands-on experience in C/C++ and Python. The role involves designing and implementing scalable, maintainable, and robust automation frameworks, executing comprehensive testing activities, identifying defects, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure high-quality software delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain automated test programs for new and existing software applications.
- Develop and execute test automation using C/C++ and Python within Agile software development environments.
- Design, set up, and implement scalable, maintainable, and robust automated testing frameworks.
- Develop automation scripts for native applications using White Box testing techniques.
- Perform feature, User Interface (UI), regression, and exploratory testing of native applications.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to define test strategies, test plans, scenarios, and test cases.
- Identify, document, track, and verify software defects through resolution.
- Work closely with development teams to investigate and resolve bugs and errors.
- Participate in Agile ceremonies and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams throughout the software development lifecycle.
- Contribute to continuous improvement of test automation processes, frameworks, and QA best practices.
- Support integration of automated testing into CI/CD pipelines to improve testing efficiency and coverage.
Requirements
Basic Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- 3+ years of industry experience in professional software development and test automation.
- Strong experience in test automation for native applications using White Box testing techniques.
- Strong knowledge of designing and developing automation frameworks for desktop/native applications.
- Hands-on experience with C/C++ and Python for test automation.
- Experience conducting feature, UI, regression, and exploratory testing of native applications.
- Strong analytical, debugging, and problem-solving skills.
- Good understanding of software testing methodologies and the software development lifecycle.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Python knowledge is mandatory.
- Working knowledge of Jenkins and CI/CD pipelines.
- Experience with Docker and DevOps practices.
- Experience with automated GUI testing tools such as Squish or QTP.
- Knowledge of unit testing frameworks such as CppUnit, Google Test, or Google Mock.
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum development environments.
- Strong commitment to quality, continuous learning, and automation best practices.
