We are looking for a Technical Scrum Master who combines strong Agile leadership with a solid technical background in software development. The ideal candidate will have prior hands-on development experience, preferably with Node.js and Next.js, and have transitioned into a Scrum Master role.
In addition to driving Agile delivery, this role will play an important part in release planning, release coordination, deployment readiness, and ensuring smooth delivery of software products across environments.
Job Description
As a Technical Scrum Master at iNextLabs, you will facilitate Agile delivery while leveraging your technical understanding to work effectively with developers, AI engineers, data scientists, QA engineers, DevOps teams, and Product Owners.
You will be responsible for driving Agile practices, removing delivery impediments, improving team effectiveness, and ensuring that sprint commitments translate into successful product releases.
The role also involves Release Management, including release planning, coordination across development and QA teams, deployment readiness, and tracking releases through to production.
Key ResponsibilitiesAgile & Scrum Leadership
- Facilitate Daily Standups, Sprint Planning, Sprint Reviews, Retrospectives, Backlog Refinement, and other Agile ceremonies.
- Coach teams on Scrum, Kanban, and Agile engineering practices.
- Help teams break down technical and business requirements into manageable user stories, tasks, and sprint deliverables.
- Work closely with Product Owners and technical teams to maintain a healthy and prioritized backlog.
- Identify and remove technical, process, and organizational impediments.
- Monitor sprint progress, risks, dependencies, and delivery commitments.
- Drive continuous improvement and help teams mature in their Agile practices.
- Promote self-organization, accountability, transparency, and engineering excellence.
Technical Collaboration
- Leverage prior software development experience to effectively understand technical discussions, dependencies, architecture considerations, and development challenges.
- Work closely with Node.js, Next.js, AI/ML, QA, DevOps, and Product teams to identify and resolve delivery dependencies.
- Understand development workflows, APIs, integrations, databases, CI/CD pipelines, environments, and deployment processes.
- Facilitate discussions between technical and non-technical stakeholders and translate delivery risks into clear business impact.
- Support technical teams in identifying dependencies and sequencing work effectively.
Release Management
- Own/co-ordinate the end-to-end release management process across development, QA, staging, and production environments.
- Maintain and communicate release schedules, release scope, dependencies, and deployment readiness.
- Coordinate with Development, QA, DevOps, Product, and Support teams for production releases.
- Ensure that stories/features planned for release meet the required Definition of Done and release readiness criteria.
- Track release risks, blockers, dependencies, and production deployment activities.
- Coordinate release go/no-go discussions and ensure stakeholders are aligned before production deployment.
- Maintain release documentation and provide clear release status and progress updates.
- Support post-release reviews, issue tracking, and continuous improvement of the release process.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience as a Scrum Master.
- Prior hands-on software development experience is strongly preferred.
- Strong technical background with Node.js and Next.js or similar modern JavaScript/TypeScript technologies.
- Experience working with APIs, databases, Git, CI/CD, cloud environments, and software development lifecycle.
- Strong understanding of Scrum, Kanban, Agile principles, and software engineering practices.
- Proven experience coordinating software releases and deployments across multiple teams.
- Experience working with JIRA, Azure DevOps, Confluence, or similar tools.
- Strong understanding of Agile metrics, sprint planning, velocity, burndown/burnup, delivery tracking, and reporting.
- Excellent facilitation, communication, stakeholder management, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work effectively with developers, QA engineers, DevOps, AI engineers, Product Owners, and business stakeholders.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities, dependencies, and delivery timelines in a fast-paced environment.

- Certified ScrumMaster (CSM)
- Professional Scrum Master (PSM)
- SAFe Agilist (SA)
- PMI-ACP
Candidates with relevant and recognized Agile certifications will be preferred.
Nice-to-Have
- Experience working with Generative AI / AI/ML products.
- Experience with Node.js, Next.js, TypeScript, React, REST APIs, microservices, or cloud-native applications.
- Experience with Azure/AWS, CI/CD pipelines, Docker, or DevOps practices.
- Experience managing releases in Agile product organizations.
- Understanding of AI product development lifecycle and responsible AI practices.
