Role Overview
As a Script Writer at Hyper Quest, you will be responsible for conceptualizing, and writing compelling scripts for both long-form and short-form YouTube and Instagram content that captivate, educate, and retain audiences. You will transform complex ideas [Research work will be done by the Team] into engaging, easy-to-understand narratives while maintaining factual accuracy, clarity, and the brand's unique storytelling style. Working closely with researchers, editors, and the production team, and write storyboard, you'll develop scripts that are visually driven, emotionally engaging, and optimized for YouTube and Instagram retention. As a creative contributor, you'll continuously explore emerging content trends, audience preferences, and storytelling techniques, bringing fresh ideas and innovative formats that elevate the quality and impact of Hyper Quest's content.
Key Responsibilities
Write scripts from finished research packs, each structured as a real investigation not a summary. Build a hook, escalate through friction, and land a genuine "trade-up": the viewer leaves with a bigger, truer idea than they arrived with. Write and maintain Hyper Quest's voice curious, precise, in awe without reverence, never preachy or superior. Match every claim's confidence level to the pack exactly established stated plainly, contested framed as disputed, speculative framed as one reading, never firmed up for effect. Mark which passages are animation, stock/footage, or on-camera narration, so the studio can plan production. Rohini, Delhi (WFO) Requirements 2–3 years writing for YouTube, documentary, podcast, or long-form educational content. Strong narrative craft pacing, tension, release, and a hook that actually holds attention. Proven ability to simplify complex philosophy, science, or research without distorting it. Sourcing discipline, non-negotiable the ability to write only what the research pack supports never inventing a fact, statistic, or flourish to make a line land. A strong, controllable ear for voice can write consistently in a defined register that isn't your own. Strong command of Hindi and English. Comfortable receiving detailed feedback and iterating without ego. End honestly if the pack's real conclusion is "we don't fully know, " write that; never manufacture a resolution the research doesn't support. Query the researcher for anything the pack doesn't cover. Deliver scripts clean enough for the Screenplay Designer to shot-plan without chasing you for meaning.
