Role Description
Live Qurious™ is looking for a Script Writer to join our growing science, archaeology, and ancient civilizations content brand, which reaches 50,000+ followers across Facebook, Instagram, and YouTube. In this role, you will write short-form scripts for Reels and Shorts, turning verified research into compelling, fact-driven stories for a global, primarily US-based audience.
Your day-to-day work will involve researching topics in archaeology, ancient civilizations, and science, then writing 100–120 word scripts designed for spoken delivery rather than reading. Each script needs a strong hook, a clear narrative arc, and a satisfying payoff that keeps viewers watching till the end. You'll work closely with the founder to shape story angles, tone, and factual accuracy, and every claim you write needs to be fact-checked against credible sources — we follow a strict no-pseudoarchaeology, no-unverified-claims policy, rooted in what we call "cosmic humility." You'll also revise drafts based on feedback, maintain a consistent voice across scripts, and occasionally adapt content for longer-form YouTube videos.
We're looking for someone with strong English writing skills and a good ear for conversational, spoken-style writing, along with a
genuine interest in history, archaeology, or science — someone who actually enjoys reading research papers and articles rather than finding it a chore. You should be able to simplify complex topics without dumbing them down or sensationalizing them, and be comfortable working at the fast pace that short-form content demands. Prior scriptwriting or content writing experience is a plus, but strong writing ability combined with real curiosity matters more than a formal background.
This is a full-time, remote position. Candidates based in or around New Delhi are preferred.
