About the Role
We are looking for enthusiastic and empathetic Psychology graduates/postgraduates who are passionate about student development, counselling, and career guidance.
As a School Career Counsellor Intern, you will gain hands-on experience in student counselling, psychological assessment, career guidance, and school-based counselling practices. You will work closely with experienced counsellors and interact with students to understand their interests, strengths, aspirations, and career goals.
Candidates demonstrating strong counselling skills, professionalism, and consistent performance may be considered for a full-time opportunity upon successful completion of the internship.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in providing career counselling and guidance to school students.
- Understand students’ interests, strengths, personality traits, and career aspirations.
- Support senior counsellors during one-on-one counselling sessions.
- Assist in conducting career assessments and interpreting basic assessment results.
- Participate in career awareness workshops, seminars, and student development programs.
- Maintain accurate student counselling records, assessment details, and follow-up reports.
- Coordinate with students, parents, teachers, and school representatives as required.
- Apply basic psychological concepts and counselling techniques while interacting with students.
- Maintain confidentiality and follow professional standards while handling student information.
- Work closely with senior counsellors to develop practical counselling skills.
- Support other school counselling and student engagement activities as assigned.

- Good understanding of basic Psychology and counselling concepts.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong active listening and observation skills.
- Empathy and the ability to build rapport with students.
- Interest in child psychology, career counselling, and education.
- Good presentation and facilitation skills.
- Willingness to learn and work in a school environment.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle student information responsibly.
Eligibility
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Psychology, Counselling Psychology, Applied Psychology, or a related field.
- Freshers and recent graduates are welcome to apply.
- Candidates interested in building a career in career counselling, school counselling, psychology, or student development will be preferred.
