Role Description
We’re hiring a hands-on SAP S/4HANA ABAP Developer to design, build, and support custom solutions across SD, MM, and FI. You’ll work on WRICEF objects, modern S/4 patterns (CDS/Fiori), and production support with quick turnaround on high-priority issues.
Key responsibilities
- Design & build (WRICEF): Develop reports, interfaces, conversions, enhancements, and forms for S/4HANA.
- Fiori & OData: Build/extend Fiori apps (UI5/Fiori elements), create/maintain OData services (SEGW/ RAP where applicable).
- CDS & analytics: Create CDS views (annotations, associations, authorizations), expose for UI/analytics, and optimize for performance.
- Forms: Design and maintain Adobe Forms (and Smart Forms if needed) for SD/MM/FI outputs.
- Enhancements: Implement BAdIs, user-exits, enhancement spots, implicit/explicit enhancements with solid transport strategy.
- Interfaces: Build and troubleshoot IDocs (WE02/WE05), RFCs/BAPIs, and web services (SOAP/REST); integrate with CPI/PI/PO when required.
- Module collaboration: Translate SD/MM/FI functional specs into technical designs; propose alternatives to simplify and standardize.
- Quality & performance: ABAP OO best practices, ATC/SCI compliance, SAT/ST05 tuning, robust error handling (SLG1).
- Change & support: Deliver fixes via ChaRM/SolMan/Cloud ALM, handle urgent/high-prio incidents, perform root-cause analysis, and create runbooks/user guides.
- Documentation & handover: Produce clear technical specs, unit tests (ABAP Unit), deployment notes, and knowledge transfers.
Required qualifications
- Experience: 5+ years hands-on S/4HANA ABAP (total ABAP 6–10 years preferred) delivering end-to-end objects in SD/MM/FI.
- Strong technical stack: ABAP OO, CDS, Fiori/UI5, OData, Adobe Forms, enhancements (BAdI, exits), IDoc/RFC/Webservices.
- Process exposure: Practical work in O2C (SD), P2P (MM), and FI integrations (accounting, tax, billing).
- Tooling: ADT/Eclipse, SEGW, ATC/SCI, SAT/ST05, SM37, SM59, SICF, WE02/WE05, SMQ1/SMQ2.
- Delivery mindset: Comfortable driving urgent tasks, on-call/hypercare windows, and multi-environment transports.
- Communication: Clear spec writing, peer code reviews, and effective stakeholder updates.
Nice to have
- RAP (RESTful ABAP Programming Model), BRF+ Output Management, Batch Jobs optimization.
- Experience with CPI/PI/PO, event-based integrations, and gCTS/Git workflows.
- Knowledge of EWM/TM/GTS/RAR touchpoints; Fiori launchpad roles/catalogs.
- Exposure to modernization/migration (ECC → S/4), SPDD/SPAU handling.
