Job Description: SAP PP Consultant
We are looking for an experienced SAP PP Consultant with 10+ years of SAP experience, primarily in the discrete manufacturing / engineering industry. The consultant should have strong hands-on experience in SAP ECC implementation and rollout projects, with exposure to MES integration and end-to-end manufacturing process design.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead customer requirement gathering sessions and workshops for SAP PP processes.
- Understand business requirements in discrete manufacturing and translate them into SAP solutions.
- Design SAP PP solutions covering production planning, shop floor execution, BOM, routing, work centers, production orders, MRP, and capacity planning.
- Drive SAP ECC implementation and rollout activities across business units or plant locations.
- Prepare functional specifications, process design documents, configuration documents, and test scripts.
- Configure SAP PP processes as per agreed business requirements.
- Work closely with technical teams for developments, enhancements, interfaces, forms, and reports.
- Support MES integration with SAP, including production order, confirmation, goods movement, and shop floor data exchange scenarios.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams such as MM, SD, QM, PM, FI/CO, and technical teams.
- Support data migration, integration testing, user acceptance testing, cutover, go-live, and post-go-live support.
- Resolve production issues and provide process improvements where required.
- Guide junior consultants and business users during build and implementation phases.
Required Skills and Experience
- Minimum 8+ years of SAP PP consulting experience.
- Strong experience in SAP ECC implementation and rollout projects.
- Good understanding of discrete manufacturing processes, preferably in the engineering/manufacturing industry.
- Hands-on experience in SAP PP configuration and business process mapping.
- Experience in MES integration with SAP is required.
- Strong knowledge of BOM, routing, work centers, production versions, MRP, production orders, confirmations, and goods movements.
- Ability to lead customer workshops and independently drive requirement discussions.
- Experience in solution design, functional specification preparation, testing, and deployment.
- Good understanding of integration points with MM, SD, QM, PM, and FI/CO.
