Role Description The SAP Basis Consultant is a full-time, Remote Position. This position is responsible for day-to-day SAP Basis administration, including system installation, configuration, maintenance, and performance tuning across SAP landscapes. The consultant will monitor system health, manage transports, perform upgrades and patching, and ensure high availability, security, and compliance of SAP systems. Daily work includes diagnosing and troubleshooting technical issues, collaborating with functional and development teams, and coordinating with database and infrastructure teams to optimize system performance. The consultant will also provide expert guidance to clients and internal stakeholders on best practices for SAP Basis, contribute to documentation, and support implementations of observability and security solutions aligned with RHONDOS methodologies.
Qualifications
- Strong SAP Basis and Basis Administration skills for installation, configuration, system monitoring, and performance tuning.
- Proficiency in Troubleshooting and Consulting to diagnose complex issues, advise stakeholders, and deliver practical solutions.
- Experience in Database Administration related to SAP environments, including backup, recovery, and optimization.
- Solid understanding of SAP system architecture, transports, user and role administration, and security best practices.
- Experience with SAP on-premise and hybrid landscapes; exposure to observability, monitoring, or SIEM tools is an advantage.
- Ability to work in different shifts, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and communicate clearly with technical and non-technical audiences.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Relevant SAP certifications in Basis or system administration are highly desirable; prior experience in consulting environments is a plus.
