Job Description SAP ABAP Consultant
Position: SAP ABAP Consultant

About The Role
We are looking for an experienced SAP ABAP Consultant with 5 10 years of hands-on experience in SAP ABAP development and implementation/support projects. The candidate will be responsible for developing, enhancing, and supporting SAP applications while working closely with functional teams and business stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, enhance, and maintain SAP ABAP programs, reports, interfaces, forms, and enhancements.
- Analyze business and technical requirements and translate them into effective SAP ABAP solutions.
- Work on RICEF objects including Reports, Interfaces, Conversions, Enhancements, and Forms.
- Develop and maintain ABAP Reports, ALV Reports, BAPIs, RFCs, User Exits, Customer Exits, and BADIs.
- Work on performance optimization and debugging of existing ABAP programs.
- Develop and support SAP interfaces with internal and external systems.
- Participate in technical design, development, unit testing, and deployment activities.
- Troubleshoot production issues and provide timely technical resolutions.
- Collaborate with SAP functional consultants to understand requirements and deliver technical solutions.
- Prepare technical specifications and relevant development documentation.
- Follow SAP development standards, coding guidelines, and best practices.
- Support system upgrades, enhancements, and change requests as required.
Required Skills
- 5 10 years of strong hands-on experience in SAP ABAP.
- Strong knowledge of ABAP programming and Object-Oriented ABAP (OOABAP).
- Good experience in RICEF development.
- Hands-on experience with ALV, BAPI, BADI, User Exits, Customer Exits, RFC, and Enhancements.
- Good knowledge of ABAP debugging and performance tuning.
- Experience in developing and supporting SAP interfaces.
- Good understanding of SAP data dictionary, internal tables, modularization techniques, and Open SQL.
- Experience working with SAP functional teams and understanding functional requirements.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Good to Have
- Experience in SAP S/4HANA environments.
- Knowledge of CDS Views, AMDP, OData, and modern ABAP programming.
- Exposure to SAP Fiori/UI5 integration.
- Experience with SAP implementation, rollout, upgrade, or support projects.
- Experience working in client-facing environments.
