Role Overview
As an SAP ABAP Consultant, you will serve as a technical anchor for our enterprise-level projects, bridging the gap between complex business requirements and high-performance SAP solutions. You will work closely with functional consultants, project managers, and client stakeholders to design, develop, and optimize custom applications within the SAP environment. This role is pivotal in ensuring the stability and scalability of our clients' SAP landscapes, directly impacting their operational efficiency and data integration capabilities in a fully remote work environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Architect and develop complex custom objects in SAP ECC and SAP HANA environments to meet specific business process requirements for global clients.
- Design and implement OData services and CDS views to facilitate seamless data integration and real-time reporting for end-users.
- Develop and maintain REST APIs to ensure robust connectivity between SAP systems and third-party enterprise applications.
- Lead technical efforts during full-cycle SAP implementations, ensuring code quality, performance optimization, and adherence to industry best practices.
- Provide high-level technical support and troubleshooting for existing SAP modules to minimize system downtime and enhance overall performance.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate functional specifications into efficient technical designs that drive business outcomes.
Required Skillset
- Demonstrated expertise in SAP ABAP development with 7 to 10 years of professional experience in large-scale enterprise environments.
- Strong technical proficiency in SAP HANA, including the ability to optimize code for in-memory databases and leverage advanced HANA features.
- Proven ability to build and consume OData services and CDS views to support modern SAP Fiori and web-based applications.
- Extensive experience in developing REST APIs and integrating SAP systems with diverse external platforms.
- Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders effectively.
- Self-motivated professional with the discipline to manage project deliverables independently in a remote working environment.
- A Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field is preferred.
