Role Description The Salesperson LCL will focus on developing and growing Less than Container Load (LCL) business, primarily through identifying prospects, building relationships, and closing sales with new and existing customers. Day-to-day responsibilities include generating leads, conducting client meetings, preparing quotations, and following up to convert opportunities into confirmed shipments. The role involves coordinating closely with operations and customer service teams to ensure smooth handling of shipments and maintaining high customer satisfaction. The Salesperson will also track market trends and competitor activities to support pricing and sales strategies. This is a full-time, on-site role based in Maharashtra, India.
Qualifications
- Strong sales and business development skills, including lead generation, negotiation, and closing deals in logistics or related industries.
- Knowledge of LCL, ocean and air freight, multimodal transport, and basic customs and documentation processes.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build long-term customer relationships and manage client expectations.
- Ability to work with internal teams (operations, customer service, finance) to ensure accurate pricing, timely execution, and issue resolution.
- Proficiency in using CRM tools, email, and MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) for reporting, proposals, and customer communication.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to handle multiple accounts and priorities.
- Prior experience in logistics, freight forwarding, or shipping sales is highly preferred.
- Relevant diploma or degree in Business, Commerce, Logistics, Supply Chain, or a related field is an advantage.
