Job Description
We are looking for an experienced Salesforce Revenue Cloud Advanced (RCA) Implementation Consultant to support complex Revenue Cloud transformation and implementation projects.
The consultant will act as the functional bridge between business requirements, Revenue Cloud architecture, and hands-on Salesforce implementation. This is a client-facing, hands-on role requiring strong Quote-to-Cash knowledge and the ability to independently drive functional work from discovery through configuration, testing, and validation.
Key Responsibilities
Revenue Cloud Discovery & Process Design
- Participate in and facilitate Quote-to-Cash discovery and design workshops.
- Analyze business processes across:
- Product & Catalog Management
- Pricing
- Quoting
- Amendments
- Renewals
- Contract Lifecycle
- Order Creation & Orchestration
- Downstream Billing
- Translate business requirements into actionable RCA functional requirements.
- Identify legacy processes that should be redesigned rather than simply recreated.
- Document business rules, dependencies, exceptions, decisions, and open questions.
- Work with the RCA Architect to design scalable future-state processes using standard Revenue Cloud capabilities.
RCA Functional Implementation
- Perform hands-on configuration within Salesforce Revenue Cloud Advanced.
- Configure and support:
- Product Catalog
- Product Structures & Relationships
- Product Configuration
- Pricing
- Quote Creation & Management
- Amendments & Renewals
- Contracts
- Orders
- Revenue Lifecycle Processes
- Translate architectural direction into executable configuration and functional requirements.
- Determine when requirements can be addressed through standard configuration versus requiring technical or architectural intervention.
- Work closely with developers on custom development requirements.
User Stories & Agile Delivery
- Create and refine detailed RCA user stories.
- Define clear and testable acceptance criteria.
- Ensure stories represent complete end-to-end business processes.
- Participate in backlog refinement, sprint planning, stand-ups, demos, and retrospectives.
- Identify dependencies across RCA, RCB, integrations, data migration, and other Salesforce workstreams.
- Ensure requirements are sufficiently defined before development begins.
Testing & Validation
- Develop functional test scenarios based on Quote-to-Cash processes.
- Validate configuration and development against acceptance criteria.
- Perform functional testing of RCA functionality.
- Support SIT and UAT.
- Support end-to-end testing across quoting, contracting, ordering, integrations, and downstream billing.
- Triage defects and distinguish between defects, requirement gaps, configuration issues, and change requests.
Client & Workstream Ownership
- Act as a day-to-day functional Revenue Cloud partner for client stakeholders.
- Own assigned RCA deliverables from requirements through validation.
- Facilitate working sessions and solution demonstrations.
- Proactively identify blockers, dependencies, risks, and required decisions.
- Coordinate with RCA/RCB architects, developers, data migration, integration, QA, and project teams.
- Maintain clear documentation of requirements, decisions, testing, and delivered functionality.
Required Skills & Experience
- 10+ years of overall Salesforce experience preferred.
- Strong Salesforce implementation or consulting experience.
- Hands-on experience with Salesforce Revenue Cloud, Revenue Cloud Advanced, CPQ, or Quote-to-Cash implementations.
- Strong understanding of end-to-end Quote-to-Cash processes.
- Hands-on Salesforce configuration experience.
- Ability to translate business requirements into Salesforce solutions.
- Experience creating detailed user stories and acceptance criteria.
- Experience working within Agile delivery teams.
- Experience supporting functional testing and UAT.
- Strong client-facing communication and facilitation skills.
- Ability to independently own functional work with architectural oversight.
Strongly Preferred
Direct hands-on experience with Salesforce Revenue Cloud Advanced (RCA) is strongly preferred.
Experience with several of the following:
- Product Catalog Design
- Product Configuration
- Pricing
- Quoting
- Amendments & Renewals
- Contract Lifecycle
- Order Management
- Revenue Lifecycle Management
- RCA-to-RCB handoffs
- Enterprise Integrations
- Data Migration involving products, pricing, contracts, quotes, or orders
Experience with legacy Salesforce CPQ is valuable, provided the candidate understands the functional and architectural differences between legacy CPQ and Revenue Cloud Advanced.
Salesforce Platform Knowledge
Candidates should have strong knowledge of:
- Salesforce Data Model
- Salesforce Flow & Automation
- Security & Permissions
- Lightning Configuration
- Reports & Dashboards
- Integration Concepts
- Data Migration Concepts
Relevant Salesforce certifications are preferred.
Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate combines three capabilities:
Functional Consultant — Strong understanding of Quote-to-Cash processes and the ability to work directly with business stakeholders.
Salesforce Practitioner — Hands-on ability to translate requirements into Salesforce Revenue Cloud configuration and functional design.
Delivery Owner — Takes ownership of moving functional requirements from discovery and definition through configuration, validation, and demonstration.
The candidate should be able to explain what they personally configured, which business problem it addressed, how the RCA solution worked, what decisions they owned, and how they validated the implementation.
What This Role Is Not
This is not a traditional Business Analyst role focused primarily on documenting requirements.
This is also not an RCA Solution Architect role. The Solution Architect owns the overall architecture, solution integrity, major design decisions, and cross-workstream architecture.
The Implementation Consultant owns functional execution under that architecture:
Discover → Define → Configure → Validate → Demonstrate.
