What you'll be working on
ZEISS VisioGen is a human-verified AI patient communication platform for US ophthalmology and optometry practices, offered by ZEISS. AI drafts patient communication, practice staff decide, and ZEISS reviews. The result is communication that is fast for patients, accurate for clinics, and effortless for staff.
We are hiring a senior individual contributor to own new customer acquisition for ZEISS VisioGen in the US market, working from Bangalore on US hours. This is a hands-on, high-volume selling role with a clear monthly signup target. You will design and run dedicated outbound campaigns, work the phones, deliver demos, and close practices.
You are also the most experienced seller on the floor. Alongside your own number, you will monitor pipeline quality across the existing sales team, guide reps on messaging and deal strategy, and set the standard for how ZEISS VisioGen sells. You will not carry people management responsibility; the Sales Head owns that.
You will work closely with the marketing team and external agencies so that campaigns, content, and outreach reinforce each other.
What you'll do
- Deliver 7 to 10 new practice signups per month from your own pipeline. [Confirm signup definition: signed agreement, paid activation, or trial start]
- Run the full cycle: prospecting, discovery, demo, proposal, negotiation, close, and handoff to onboarding.
- Prospect at high volume on US hours: cold calls, email sequences, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, referrals, and event follow-up.
- Engage practice decision-makers: physician owners, practice administrators, office managers, and operations leads.
- Deliver discovery-led demos that connect ZEISS VisioGen to the practice's patient communication workflow, staff workload, and patient experience goals.
- Design and execute outbound campaigns by segment (practice size, specialty, EHR, geography, group vs. independent), including targeting, messaging, sequencing, and follow-up cadence.
- Test, measure, and refine campaigns weekly: response rates, meeting rates, demo-to-close conversion.
- Partner with marketing and agencies on account-based programs, paid campaigns, landing pages, and lead follow-up so that marketing-sourced leads are worked fast and reported accurately.
- Monitor pipeline health and forecast accuracy across the existing sales team and flag risks to the Sales Head.
- Coach reps on discovery, objection handling, demo delivery, and closing through call reviews, shadowing, and deal strategy sessions.
- Document and maintain the sales playbook: ICP, talk tracks, objection library, email templates, and demo flow.
- Feed structured market intelligence back to product, marketing, and leadership: objections, competitor activity, workflow gaps, and buying triggers.
- Maintain disciplined pipeline hygiene in [CRM, e.g. Salesforce]: accurate stages, next steps, forecasts, and win/loss notes.
- Negotiate and close within ZEISS pricing and contracting guidelines.
What we're looking for
- 7 to 8+ years of quota-carrying B2B sales experience selling into the US market, with a strong preference for healthcare SaaS sold to ambulatory or specialty practices.
- Consistent record of meeting or exceeding quota in a high-volume, full-cycle role from prospecting through close.
- Proven ability to cold call US physicians, administrators, and practice owners and convert conversations into demos.
- Strong discovery and demo skills: you diagnose the practice's problem before you present the product.
- Experience building and running your own outbound campaigns rather than depending on inbound leads.
- Experience mentoring or informally leading other sellers, with results to show for it.
- Working knowledge of US practice operations: scheduling, recalls, front desk workflow, EHR and practice management systems, and HIPAA considerations.
- Fluent with CRM and modern sales tooling (LinkedIn Sales Navigator, sales engagement platforms, call dialers).
- Excellent spoken and written US business English.
- Based in Bangalore or willing to relocate, and committed to working US hours.
- Experience selling to US ophthalmology or optometry practices, or selling AI-assisted, automation, or patient engagement solutions into medical practices.
- Experience working with marketing agencies on demand generation programs.
- Familiarity with ZEISS Meditec products or the ophthalmic market.
- Experience in an early-stage or scale-up commercial team where you helped define the playbook.
- 7 to 10 new practice signups per month, sustained quarter over quarter.
- Pipeline coverage & monthly target with accurate stage and forecast data.
- Weekly high cold call volume with conversion tracked at every stage.
- Qualified demos per month at demo-to-signup conversion.
- A documented, current sales playbook adopted by the team.
- You are a seller first. You would rather run the campaign and close the deal than manage headcount, but you raise the level of everyone around you.
- You think in systems: you notice which messages, segments, and sequences work, and you adjust.
- You are comfortable with clinical audiences and respect their time.
- You bring evidence to every conversation and avoid hype.
- You take ownership of outcomes and hold yourself to the number.
- Sell a product built on the ZEISS reputation for precision and clinical credibility, with the reach of ZEISS Meditec behind it.
- Address a real, daily problem for US practices: patient communication that is timely, accurate, and does not overload staff.
- Shape the commercial playbook for a growing digital solution inside an established global company.
