We enable seamless, near-real-time cross-border payment settlements across countries, currencies, and financial systems.
About the Role
We are looking for a results-driven Sales Manager – Cross-Border Payments to drive B2B client acquisition, build a strong sales pipeline, and generate revenue from businesses with international payment requirements.
The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in B2B sales, strong prospecting and negotiation skills, and the ability to identify and acquire exporters, manufacturers, trading companies, IT/ITES firms, and other businesses that need international collections, cross-border payouts, and global payment solutions.
This is a hands-on, target-driven role requiring ownership of the complete sales cycle, from lead generation and prospect qualification to client meetings, commercial negotiations, onboarding, and revenue generation.
What You’ll Work On
- B2B Lead Generation: Identify and acquire new clients through IndiaMART, TradeIndia, Yellow Pages, business directories, online marketplaces, industry databases, and other lead-generation platforms.
- Client Acquisition: Build and manage a pipeline of exporters, importers, manufacturers, trading companies, MSMEs/SMEs, IT/ITES firms, SaaS businesses, D2C brands, agencies, and global service providers with cross-border payment needs.
- Outbound Prospecting: Conduct targeted outreach through calls, emails, LinkedIn, business networks, and other channels to generate qualified leads and secure client meetings.
- Inbound Lead Conversion: Respond to inbound enquiries, qualify prospects, understand their payment requirements, and convert suitable opportunities into active clients.
- End-to-End Sales Ownership: Manage the complete sales funnel, including lead generation, qualification, discovery calls, client meetings, product presentations, commercial negotiations, onboarding coordination, and revenue generation.
- Cross-Border Payment Solutions: Understand client requirements around international collections, cross-border payouts, global settlements, and merchant payment solutions, and present relevant bepay offerings.
- Relationship Management: Build long-term relationships with business owners, finance teams, founders, and other decision-makers to drive client acquisition, repeat transactions, and revenue growth.
- Network Development: Leverage existing business relationships and establish new connections across exports, global trade, fintech, IT services, and other relevant business communities.
- Partnership Development: Identify and build referral and channel partnerships with consultants, marketplaces, trade associations, payment service providers, and business networks.
- Revenue & Pipeline Management: Maintain an active sales pipeline, track follow-ups and conversion rates, prepare sales forecasts, and consistently work towards assigned acquisition and revenue targets.
- Client Onboarding Coordination: Work closely with onboarding, operations, and compliance teams to facilitate client activation and support the transition from deal closure to live transactions.
- Market Expansion: Identify promising industry segments, new acquisition channels, and opportunities to expand bepay’s cross-border payments business.
- Industry Representation: Represent bepay at relevant trade events, exporter/importer associations, business meetings, founder communities, and industry networking events.
Requirements
- 5–7 years of sales experience in cross-border payments.
- Proven experience selling cross-border payments, international remittance, or related financial services products is highly preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to generate leads independently, build a qualified pipeline, close deals, and deliver revenue.
- Experience using IndiaMART, TradeIndia, business directories, online marketplaces, LinkedIn, or similar platforms for B2B prospecting and lead generation.
- Strong understanding of the business needs of exporters, manufacturers, trading companies, IT/ITES firms, or other businesses involved in international transactions.
- An established professional network in exports, global trade, IT services, MSMEs/SMEs, D2C, or other relevant business segments is an advantage.
- Ability to engage business owners, founders, finance heads, and senior decision-makers in commercial discussions.
- Strong communication, presentation, negotiation, follow-up, and relationship-management skills.
- Ability to manage the complete sales cycle independently and work towards measurable acquisition and revenue targets.
- Willingness to conduct on-field client meetings and attend relevant industry events when required.
- Self-driven, commercially oriented, and comfortable working in a fast-paced, target-driven environment.
