Role Description The Russian language interpreter/translator role at GetWellGo is a full-time, on-site position based in Gurugram. The role involves interpreting conversations between Russian-speaking patients and medical staff, ensuring clear, accurate, and culturally sensitive communication. Daily tasks include translating medical documents, reports, treatment plans, and patient information from Russian to English and vice versa. The interpreter/translator will assist with patient consultations, admission and discharge processes, and follow-up communication, while maintaining confidentiality and accuracy. The role also includes coordinating with internal teams to support patient journeys, clarifying medical terminology, and helping Russian-speaking patients understand procedures, costs, and logistical arrangements.
Qualifications
- Strong Russian and English language proficiency, including advanced speaking, reading, and writing skills, with the ability to interpret in real time.
- Demonstrated experience in translation and interpretation, preferably in a healthcare, medical tourism, or customer-facing environment.
- Familiarity with medical terminology and the ability to learn and accurately use healthcare-related vocabulary.
- Excellent interpersonal and cross-cultural communication skills, with a patient-centered and empathetic approach.
- High attention to detail, strong organization skills, and the ability to manage multiple patient cases and documents simultaneously.
- Ability to work on-site in Gurugram on a full-time schedule and collaborate effectively with clinical and non-clinical teams.
- Relevant educational background such as a degree or certification in languages, translation, interpretation, or a related field; medical or healthcare experience is an advantage.
- Comfort with basic computer applications, digital communication tools, and documentation systems used in hospital or office settings.
