Role Description The Speech Language Specialist is a full-time, on-site role based in Mumbai ( Andheri) and Vadakekkad ( Kerala ), working directly with children to assess, diagnose, and treat speech, language, and communication disorders.
Day-to-day responsibilities include conducting individual and group therapy sessions, designing and implementing personalized treatment plans, and monitoring progress using evidence-based approaches.
The specialist collaborates closely with teachers, caregivers, and other professionals to integrate speech and language goals into the child’s overall educational and rehabilitation program.
Additional tasks include maintaining accurate documentation, participating in family intervention and training programs, and contributing to multidisciplinary team meetings to support each child’s path to greater independence.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess strong skills in Speech Therapy and Rehabilitation to design and deliver effective intervention programs.
- Candidates should possess expertise in Speech and Communication to assess needs, plan goals, and support functional language development.
- Candidates should possess clinical competence in managing Dysphagia, including safe swallowing assessments and interventions where required.
- Relevant academic qualification such as a Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology or equivalent, with appropriate licensure or registration as per local regulations.
- Experience working with children in special education or pediatric clinical settings, preferably in multidisciplinary teams.
- Strong observational, documentation, and assessment skills, with the ability to use standardized tools and evidence-based practices.
- Effective interpersonal and communication skills to collaborate with families, educators, and caregivers, and to conduct training sessions.
- Commitment to inclusive education, child-centered practice, and continuous professional development.
